Gamelan. Music Traditional Mosaic From Indonesian. Gamelan is the instrument traditional music from Indonesian. Gamelan has several forms and specific music is the main element in Indonesian. Each gamelan is slightly different from each other, yet all have the same organization, based on different instrumental groups with specific orchestral positions. A gamelan instruments are composed of sets of tools made of bronze, awarded percussion, xylophone, drums, one or more flutes, stringed instruments and some singers. In some villages gamelan, bronze is replaced with iron, wood or bamboo. The most popular gamelan in Java and Bali meet.
Traditionally, gamelan is sacred and is believed to have supernatural powers. Everybody respects him. I often offered flowers. It is believed that each instrument in the gamelan is guided by spirits. Thus, the musician has to take off when playing. It is also forbidden to step over any instrument of gamelan, as this can upset the spirit. It is believed that some of them have so much power that can give power over nature. Some instruments can not be achieved only by persons purified by ritual. In Java the most important instrument is gong gamelan ageng. Javanese musicians believe that Gong ageng is the main spirit of the entire gamelan.
